点评：On my recent visit to Kolkata, I ensured that I visited the beautiful Mandarmani beach. It’s a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Kolkata. The beach is less commercialized which is the best part.
The beach stretches across 13 km of beautiful sandy shoreline. It is very clean and has a peaceful serene atmosphere. The beach is less crowded, the beach is very wide and flat, which makes it vast and gives a feel of openness. Even if there are tourists, they spread out across the beach so it gives you your own time wherein you can walk endlessly along the shore, watch the sunrise, or simply sit quietly and listen to the soothing sound of the waves.
The gentle sea currents create the perfect setting for a relaxing and refreshing swim, making your beach experience both safe and enjoyable.
There are several adventure sports activities to enjoy, such as jet skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides, and ATV biking. These activities are quite economical as well, with prices starting from around Rs. 500.
It is a popular weekend getaway from Kolkata, and after Digha beach it is fast catching the eye of the tourists, so it can get busier on Friday and Saturday evenings. Best time to visit and enjoy the beach is during the weekdays. There are few beachside shacks which serve simple homemade tasty seafood, which adds to the charm. You can sit and enjoy the seafood with cool breeze and a beautiful view adding to the serenity.
