Beautiful flower park
Tottori Hanakairo-Flower Park的点评
点评：I did this as a day trip from Matsue: train to the Yonaga JR station, which took about 30 minutes, then the free shuttle bus to the park, which took about 25 minutes. The shuttle buses are on the southeast side of the train station, and there are directional signs to the shuttle buses in the station. They were running every 30 minutes in early April.
Entrance was half-price if you show out-of-Japan identification. There must have been a sign advertising this in English at the ticket booth, as I did not know that beforehand.
Early April was a little bit early to be visiting the park, as it is on the cold western side of Japan, but the cherry trees were already in bloom so it was definitely worthwhile to visit the 'Cherry Plaza'. Also many annuals were already in flower on the 'Flower Hill'. They have massive plantings of bulbs, but they were only budding. By mid-April they would have been very impressive.
The 1 km long elevated covered walkway that connects the four display pavilions was useful, since it was raining for much of the time. The large geodesic dome was a great place to visit on a rainy day, as it was filled with displays of beautiful orchids.
I ate at the restaurant, and the food was good. Not much English there - you just point at the menu, hope that you have chosen something good, pay, and they bring you the food in a few minutes. It was delicious. Note that they also have a large partially-covered picnic area which you can use, but the day was a bit cold for that.
Overall this was a great visit, worth the time to get out here from Matsue. Even though parts of the park were not in bloom yet, I still spent over two hours wandering around the park, plus another hour in their restaurant.

总的来说，这是一次很棒的游览，非常值得从松江专程前来。尽管公园的部分区域还没有开花，我仍然在公园里漫步了两个多小时，还在餐厅里待了一个小时。
