点评：Thundercross Valley was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. My two boys (aged 7 and 10) hired bikes for the day as part of my son’s birthday present, and they absolutely loved every minute of it.
From the very beginning, the team at Thundercross were fantastic. I had a lot of questions before booking — especially as we were travelling from overseas — and every concern I had was met with patience, reassurance, and really clear communication. They genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible.
I was particularly anxious about the weather. Because it was a full-day booking and we were travelling internationally, I was worried rain would ruin the day. What really stood out was that Thundercross actually called us the day before (which was a public holiday) to check in. They had been closely monitoring the weather and wanted to give me the option to rebook for another day due to predicted intermittent rain. That level of care and consideration was so appreciated — it immediately put my mind at ease. I felt confident to keep the booking as is.
On the day itself, we had perfect conditions, the sun was shining, and the setup was excellent. The bikes were well-maintained, the tracks were awesome, and the whole environment felt safe, supportive, and incredibly fun. The atmosphere around the track was buzzing, and everyone riding was considerate. My kids raved about it all day, declaring it “1000 out of 10,” rode from 9:30 am right through to 5 pm, and asked if we could book another day before we’d even left. They came away muddy, tired, confident, and smiling from ear to ear — exactly what you hope for.
If you’re considering Thundercross Valley for kids, birthdays, or just an unforgettable day out, I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. Professional, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. We loved the entire experience — it felt so authentically Kiwi in the best possible way. We’ll definitely be back.
