点评：If you’re visiting Pucón and have even a passing interest in volcanology, do yourself a favor and book a tour at Parque Cuevas Volcánicas.
The tour takes you roughly 300 meters into a stunning lava tube cave, and throughout the entire journey you learn in detail how magma caves form, what shaped the surrounding landscape, and what makes this volcanic region so geologically unique. It’s genuinely educational — not just a “walk through a dark tunnel” experience.
A special mention goes to Chris, our guide, who did a fantastic job. His English was excellent, which made a real difference — most tours here are conducted in Spanish, so having a knowledgeable guide who can explain complex geological concepts clearly in English is a huge plus for international visitors. He was engaging, passionate, and clearly knows his subject inside and out.
The cave itself is very well maintained, and the whole operation feels thoughtful and carefully managed. Worth noting: this is part of a private offering, which gives it a more personalized and intimate feel compared to larger commercial tours.
