Wish I could do this again! 12 Days Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia

点评：In April, 2025, I spent 10 days on a Sakura organised tour of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia. I cannot praise it highly enough. Every aspect of the tour was meticulously organised. Every site had obviously been carefully chosen to give foreigners a thorough view of the highlights of each country and its history. Each hotel was extremely clean and comfortable; the breakfasts (included) offered a wide range of dishes. Each and every restaurant had been carefully chosen to showcase the distinctive, delicious, utterly repeatable national cuisine - and in addition in beautiful settings! What a bonus!
Now to our guides and drivers: we spent the most days with Georgian guide, Michael, and Georgian driver, Gyorgi (?). To his enormous credit, Gyorgi was a safe, patient, responsible driver whose driving I felt protected us from some pretty crazy driving by other drivers and on some pretty dicey roads! Michael was an engaging guide, knowledgeable, patient and informative. Both were professional, courteous, friendly, flexible and never gave any hint of being in a rush to end conversations or even some long days.
It was a terrific trip. I enjoyed every minute of it. I returned home believing that I had had a taste of Azerbaijan and that I had seen and experienced authentic Georgian and Armenian culture/history. Wonderful trip. I would not hesitate to recommend - and even consider a repeat myself!
