Exceptional service on a 3-night dogsledding expedition

点评：Fabulous multi-day dogsledding in the White Mtns, led by Lisbet and with support from Nils on the trail and Khanna and Alyssa back at headquarters. If given the option, definitely do the side trail into the Fossil Creek area!
We were one couple, joined by another couple who had previously dogsledded. Arctic Dog Adventure Company (ADAC) provided gear, like outdoor pants, parka, & sleeping bag, that kept all of us toasty at 0 degrees and would've done the same even if it were 20 degrees colder. Lisbet's attention to detail showed how again and again she had already anticipated our needs: stuff was done or offered before it was needed, or promptly at the time it was requested. It was an exceptional level of service on the trail that kept all warm, hydrated, well fed, and safe. Being our first time dogsledding, there was a bit of a learning curve. Might have helped if there was an ADAC-recommended 'how to dogsled' video to watch beforehand. One certainly needs a fair amount of grip strength (when you tip a sled, it's challenging to hold on to 6 dogs eager to keep pulling!). The cabins were snug and each a little different: all three had enough knee-level bunks for the 4 clients plus 2 dogs, with 2 other dogs generally on the floor and Lisbet & Nils in the loft. Each cabin also had a woodstove, ensuring a warm environment in which all wet gear could be dried overnight. The warmth was also nice for ducking in and out of the cabin to see the northern lights. The aurora sent streaks from all points of the compass, and with the dark skies, you could see it along the entire 360-degree horizon. Magical!
We’re hoping to do another dogsledding trip with them again, this time an even longer one. Highly recommend Arctic Dog Adventure Company.
