Safe Journeys, Hidden Gems, and Wonderful Memories — Thank You, Vinoth!

点评：We recently completed an amazing trip across Sri Lanka, and we cannot recommend VINOTH and My SL Travel enough. From arriving by ferry in Jaffna to being safely dropped off at Colombo airport, Vinoth made our journey comfortable, memorable, and truly special.
Our journey began in Jaffna, where Vinoth was already waiting for us when we arrived by ferry. He took us safely to our hotel, and throughout the trip, his clean, comfortable car and relaxed driving made even the long journeys enjoyable. Since we had only one day in Jaffna, he helped us make the most of our time by showing us around and recommending the right places to visit.
Our next stop was Trincomalee, where we had initially booked some expensive tourist activities. Vinoth honestly explained our options and recommended reliable local alternatives that helped us save money without compromising on the experience. Thanks to My SL Travel and Vinoth, we had an incredible time enjoying scuba diving, whale watching, and snorkelling, even during the off-season. His local knowledge and practical advice made all the difference.
From there, we travelled to Sigiriya and explored the magnificent Lion Rock and the surrounding attractions. We also visited the Dambulla Golden Temple, enjoyed a wildlife safari where we saw elephants in their natural habitat, and discovered authentic wooden handicrafts. Many of these wonderful experiences came from Vinoth’s recommendations. He also introduced us to some fantastic restaurants where we could enjoy authentic Sri Lankan cuisine rather than just the usual tourist fare.
What stood out throughout our journey was Vinoth’s genuine care for his guests. He was punctual, courteous, patient, and always willing to help. Whether it was suggesting places to visit, finding good local food, helping us make sensible choices, or simply ensuring we were comfortable, he was someone we could depend on without hesitation.
Our final leg took us to Colombo, where we enjoyed sightseeing and shopping before Vinoth dropped us safely at the airport. By the end of our trip, he was no longer just our driver or guide. He had become a friend — someone we trusted and felt comfortable relying on in a country that was new to us.
A good driver takes you to places; a great driver helps you experience a country. Vinoth did both. His warmth, honesty, knowledge, and willingness to go the extra mile made our Sri Lankan holiday so much more than just a sightseeing trip.
We returned home with wonderful memories, a deeper appreciation for Sri Lanka, and the feeling that we had made a friend along the way.
