点评:Our first visit to Sojuela but definitely worth playing again. Like (it seems) all the courses in La Rioja, this feel off the beaten track. There are houses around the course but nothing on the scale of (for example) some of the places in Southern Spain.
The course was great fun to play. Lots of elevation changes, doglegs and variety. The course was in very nice condition throughout with excellent greens.
It's a reasonably demanding walk (we're both nearer 70 than 60) but we still managed it comfortably with manual trolleys.
The club offer a golf and meal (or meal and golf) package which we would highly recommend. Not only does it make the value even better, the food was excellent, and certain the equal of (if not better than) many restaurants we've used.
Only two 'criticisms'/suggestions. Some of the signage at the greens wasn't as clear or obvious as it could be and it was easy to leave the green in the wrong direction. I thikn the signage was probably ok for those on the buggy-paths, but less-helpful for walkers. The second suggestion, would be to mow pathways from the tees to the fairways, again for walkers/trolley-users.
Overall, another good-value rural gem and definitely worth a visit.
