点评:It was lovely walking in the gardens on a wet winters day while in Kyneton.
Still plenty of Autumn colour about , there are soo many majestic trees in the gardens and quite a few of them are National Trust of Australia Listed Trees.
Loved the only Ginkgo tree in the park, planted back in the 1800s like some of the other trees its Autumn yellow leaves formed a carpet to walk on. The park was first started in 1867 and some of the early plantings were given by the legendary gardener Ferdinand von Mueller who set up many gardens and was the Director of the Royal Botanical Garden in Melbourne.
Loved the bluestone and wrought iron entrance to the gardens and there are a few historical plaques to read.
Lots of bluestone was used in the design and layout of the gardens, great stone for that purpose, it will last for ever, love it.
Well done to all in the past and those now in the present for these great enjoyable gardens
