点评：About an hour or so drive from Paris Centre, Chateau Pierrefonds is a hidden gem that needs more attention!
Sunday morning, we got into the car, took back roads from Paris and had a truly lovely ride through the countryside to our destination of Chateau Pierrefonds.
We parked in a lot just up the road from the chateau and had a nice walk to the entrance.
Understand, this is not a quick hop on flat terrain from car to building . Ladies, keep your heels at the hotel and opt for flat shoes because you will walk uphill and the walk uphill gifts you with stunning views of a he village below.
This is not Versailles or Fontainebleau—there are no furnishings except for a few seats but the barren rooms give an idea of just how massive the spaces in your he chateau are. Magnificent room after rooms and views that are breathtaking.
It’s absolutely beautiful. As it was the end of autumn, it wasn’t crowded which is great! You’re not going to b attacked by a selfie stick!
Overall, if you’re renting a car and you want to get out of Paris for a good part of the day, take a drive here!
