McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary的点评
点评：From the moment we entered, we were impressed. We watched a feeding session for the alligators and turtles, which was a great start to the tour. The sanctuary is exceptionally clean, and despite the hot weather, much of the tour is shaded. The staff even provided our group with bags of ice to help us stay cool. Ice-cold water was also available for a small fee, making the experience both enjoyable and safe.
The tour felt very personal because of the small group size. The animals were active and engaged throughout the visit, giving us plenty to see and learn. We even had the opportunity to hold small animals, reptiles, snakes, and a tarantula. The lion and tiger were given snacks during the tour, allowing us to see them up close.
Our tour guide, Jeremy, was knowledgeable, patient, and funny. What stood out most, however, was his genuine love for the animals. It was also impressive to learn that he personally built many of the animal enclosures.
If you're an animal lover, you'll appreciate the mission behind this sanctuary. McCarthy's takes in injured animals, rehabilitates them whenever possible, and releases them back into the wild. They also provide loving homes for animals that cannot be released and are often called upon by outside agencies to help animals in need.
This is much more than a wildlife attraction—it's a sanctuary dedicated to animal care, conservation, and education. I highly recommend visiting and supporting their important work! A short ride from Singer Island and worth it!
