点评:We travelled as a family of four in August, and on the day we visited Mürren, it was raining. That made us slightly hesitant about going up to Birg, in case the Thrill Walk was closed due to the weather. Fortunately, I trusted my instincts and went ahead with buying the tickets.
Birg was actually above the clouds at that time, so we had no rain at all. The Thrill Walk was open, and both my children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Although I’m scared of heights, I still went along with them because I wasn’t comfortable letting them go on their own. To be honest, I ended up enjoying it far more than I expected.
The Thrill Walk is fantastic. If you don’t want to attempt the more challenging sections—such as the rope walk, tunnel, or glass walkway—there is a sturdy iron‑mesh path on the side that you can use instead. The views of the Eiger and Jungfraujoch from there are absolutely breathtaking, and with the clouds sitting low, the scenery looked even more dramatic.
The only downside was that the glass walkway had a few cracks, which made me even more nervous given my fear of heights. During our second round, a small rock fell from above (nothing to do with the operators), which startled us. The grill at the end of the Thrill Walk was also broken, which felt unusual considering Switzerland’s reputation for excellent engineering and high‑quality construction.
The café at Birg, however, was reasonably priced by Swiss standards, and the staff were extremely helpful.
