点评：Our morning with Consuelo was one of the absolute highlights of our Baltic cruise.
We've had many excellent guides during our travels, but we've come to realize there's a huge difference between someone who simply recites history and someone who truly shares their home. Consuelo does the latter.
Yes, we learned about Visby, Gotland, and the Hanseatic League, but what made the experience exceptional was how personal and engaging it felt. She welcomed our questions, shared stories from her own life, and created conversations rather than delivering a memorized script. It felt less like a guided tour and more like spending the morning with a knowledgeable friend who genuinely loves her adopted hometown.
She also tailored the experience to our interests, pointed out places we returned to later on our own, and made sure we experienced both the history and the personality of Visby. Thanks to her recommendation, I went back to a local women's cooperative shop after the tour and bought several charming little Gotland sheep to bring home as Christmas ornaments. They'll always remind me of our wonderful day.
As a thoughtful surprise, she even gave us a small piece of genuine Gotland sheepskin—a kind gesture we'll always remember.
