Good golf. Horrible cart girls.

点评：Played the Crispin on Friday for a warm-up. Course was in very good shape. Pace of play was fine. Played the Palmer on Saturday morning. Also in good shape with good pace of play. Played the Jones on Saturday afternoon. Pace of play was atrocious. On some holes there were three groups on the tee box. A course employee said that a group ahead was playing a scramble and they were holding things up. He also said that he didn't have the authority to tell them to move it along or let people play through. Ended up having a 5+ hour second round.
Worst part of the trip were the cart girls. Two drove right up on us when we were on the tee box. On a par three, she was just behind our green. She pulled away and our first teed off. We had assumed that she was going somewhere else. As or second was literally hitting his tee shot, she pulled around the blind bend to about 40 yards away - and kept coming. She asked us if we needed anything, but we were all good. She then asked if we could move our carts so she could get past - while we still had two people to tee off. There was no stopping her.
The other one also drove right up on us as we were hitting. One in our group ordered a double Jack and ginger, which she said she was out of, so he settled for Jack and Coke. She poured the drink into a cup and THEN told him that she was out of ice. So for $18 he got a warm cocktail.
One cart girl, Angie, was great. She waited out of the way while we hit, then came up to us. She was friendly and polite.
I know everyone says that there is a worker shortage, but really, if you can't give a cart girl a 20 minute training on how to interact with golfers, then it would be better they kept them off the course entirely.
