点评：Colorado National Monument is a really special scenic drive that has better views than a lot of National Parks out there. We went early in the morning (7 or 8) and there was almost no one up there. Some bikers and a couple cars, but we were by ourselves at most of the viewpoints. This park is an excellent companion to an Arches visit, giving similar landscapes, but with views that are more sweeping and expansive. We did not hike on this visit, but I'm sure this park has some wonderful opportunities in it. We also saw some bighorn sheep along the way. We visited Black Canyon NP in the same day and CNM was so much better. If you only have to choose one in this part of Colorado, I would prioritize the National Monument over the Black Canyon National Park. Make sure you put this on the natural site itinerary if you are in the area. It's one of the top drives in the country.
