点评：What an amazing experience! Stephen Mcall of Scottish Rock and Water is a quintessential professional and a genuinely decent man to boot. He volunteered to take my autistic daughter and her friend down the River Spey in November 2025 for 5 days. He took 5 days out of his valuable guiding and family time to do this, to support my daughter in her dream to achieve something that was a big stretch for her, considering she had been out of school at home for two years. Having newly started school again for a few hours a week, doing this trip was a scary proposition for her. Stephen was an incredible guide. He found the perfect balance between looking for opportunities to empower her with the decision making, and then making the decisions for her when he could see she was tiring. Stephen, your professionalism on the water made us feel safe, but perhaps equally important, your ability to read your clients and anticipate their needs and their capability was incredible, as was your warm and wise talk around the campfire. Having done a few expeditions in Africa, I can safely say that Stephen is a man you want in the trenches with you- good humour, courageous and skilled in his job. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Stephen and Scottish Rock and Water for an expedition that was enriching, fun, organised, and well led.
