Very expensive and not that fun bc host did not properly facilitate

点评：We booked this escape room for our daughter’s 17th birthday and spent about $380 for our group: grandparents in their 70s, several adults, and five teenagers. We were excited for a fun, inclusive experience everyone could enjoy together.
Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. While the room itself was interesting, the game runner did very little to help pace the experience. We understood that escape rooms are meant to be challenging, but with such a large and age-diverse group, we expected more active facilitation. We asked for clues a few times, but there was no guidance offered proactively when we were clearly stuck, and no effort to help us move forward so we could actually complete the room.
We’ve successfully completed several other escape rooms previously, all of which were better facilitated and, as a result, much more fun and engaging. That contrast made this experience particularly disappointing.
Given the cost and the occasion—a birthday celebration for a teenager —we expected a more engaged host and a better overall experience. If you’re going with a smaller group of experienced escape room players, this might be fine, but for families or mixed-age groups, I would think carefully before booking. The game runner didn’t seem to understand that it would have been a lot more fun for us to complete the room. That, in addition to the incredibly expensive cost of the activity, left us feeling quite disappointed.
