点评：What on earth has happened to Hayes? I've known this place for over 20 years and it was always a classy place to visit and the restaurant was always a good place to meet up and have a coffee and cake. And, coaches used to bring visitors from all over the place! The merchandise was always superior and there was not much of the usual tat that these place can stock! Now however it's just absolutely lost its heart and soul, its a miserable place full of cheap stuff that can be found in any garden centre. With cheap end of range Regatta clothing to make up for the loss of Cotswold Outdoor. The basement where they were is off limits now. When we visited there was no access to the furniture area, perhaps Santa is on his way? As I say Cotswold Outdoor had gone, and everything just looked dismal. I cant see coaches bringing people here anymore. Maybe they were getting ready for xmas (we are in September after all🙄) but also the restaurant area is dismal! The counter where you order is stuck in a cul de sac with a poor soul who greets you with 'any allergies'as the first thing out of their mouth! . I've now made 2 visits since BGC took over, its got worse. I really really hope they can turn this around. At the moment Gordale Garden Centre (on the Wirral) knocks Hayes into touch, and I honestly never thought Id say that. I guess thats what happens when independents have to sell out. Such a massive shame.
