An Impressive Collection of Historic Buildings

点评：Positives:
- Admission cost was reasonable. (~$5 per adult)
- The staff was very kind and very friendly, which was much appreciated. They also opened up and activated the carousel for us. ($2-$3 extra per person)
- The number historical buildings that have been collected and relocated to the site is impressive...40 or so? 2 churches, 2 schools, 2 hotels, etc., etc. Also, nearly all of them were open for viewing.
Drawbacks:
- The train only runs on Saturdays at 2pm.
- The restrooms are in need of an upgrade.
- It would have been nice to go in and look around at more of the buildings. Most of the buildings allow you to open the door, but there's almost an immediate fence/gate limiting further access. For example, it would have been nice for children to walk around the schoolhouse, sit in desks, etc...but the fence stopped visitors just inside the door.
- Staffing (although friendly, helpful, plugged-in, and hard-working), is limited. Being the curators of a large, 40-building campus is not a small matter...and with limited staffing, it starts to show a bit. And...old/historic buildings require more upkeep than new buildings. Hence, it's difficult to keep up with all of the buildings' cleaning and maintenance needs.
- It's not always entirely clear what visitors are looking at inside the buildings...and at times, the collection of vintage items inside seemed a bit random. For example, the dentist's office had a collection of tools (noted as donated by a certain dentist), but what the various tools were was a bit TBD. The sources of many of the items were painstakingly noted (Donated by _________ from ________)...but...help us understand what we're looking at.
Again, the staff was very kind and there seemed to be no lack of effort on their part. Thank you for having us!
