Positives:
The food was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and Sherly, the cook, demonstrated a broad knowledge of the cuisine. The environment was clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall experience.
Negatives:
Unfortunately, the atmosphere was not welcoming. Latecomers were not greeted, and the overall tone in the kitchen was strict and humorless. The session felt rushed: 30 minutes of theory, 60 minutes of cooking, and 30 minutes of eating—after which we were essentially asked to leave. It felt like too much money for the time and value provided.
Additionally, the class was overcrowded for the chosen recipe (ramen). My personal role was limited to chopping and sautéing onions, which was the extent of my cooking experience. There was little opportunity for meaningful interaction with other participants, making it feel more like an assembly line than a shared experience.
Overall, while the food quality was excellent, the lack of engagement and rigid atmosphere detracted significantly from the experience. I wouldn’t choose to do it again.
