Cathedral Gorge State Park的点评
点评：Different than what one expect in a state park. Usually one pictures trees and lakes. Not here. No lake. Few trees. The "claim to fame" here is slot canyons, but instead of them being curved, pretty sandstone like so many in Utah and Arizona, these are vertically ribbed spires one walks or squeezes between.
There is a pay kiosk along the entry road. The entry road starts paved, then becomes dirt, but it is tamped down, so it was okay for a low riding car like mine-a Toyota Camry. Also, the road is very short, only connecting two slot canyon areas. There is also a visitors center at the main entrance, but it might not be open. An informative wall by the restrooms was open, though. A picnic area is by the furthest spires, and there is a covered gazebo at the overlook further north of the main entry. There is also a small campground.
