点评：Cycling in Provence was an amazing experience! Florent provided thorough and prompt guidance in taking us throughout the booking and pre-trip process. Upon arrival to our first hotel, our bikes were delivered to us and we were given a quick fitting and explanation of equipment. An e-bike was available and chosen by my wife and always had plenty of power. Bikes and equipment were of excellent quality. The bags attached to the bikes made it easy for use to carry food and water. On a couple of occasions we got off schedule on our meals and cafes were closed in the afternoon. We were able to charge the battery at hotels. Bike routes are loaded pre-trip on our phones and did a great job navigating us through unfamiliar territory. If we had trouble, a Detours in France manager was in the area, available to assist if needed. We chose the package with the least expensive hotels and found them each to be quaint and provided a true French experience. The included restaurants in the package provided a variety of food from the Provence area and was very good.
The bike routes were fun and used a series of backroads and bike lanes. A highlight of the trip was cycling through the farmland, vineyards, and touring the olive grove called Castelines on the last day. A word of caution however; you do have to ride through several cities where the traffic is heavy and you are exposed to that traffic.
Overall, the packaged self-guided bike trip made it possible for us to seamlessly tour an absolutely beautiful area of southern France. We would highly recommend Detours in France!
