点评：We booked a bespoke tasting and distillery tour and were very impressed by the high-quality of the tour and the whiskey! Duane, who took care of us from start to finish was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and patient with all of our questions.
Upon arrival we were welcomed with an old fashioned cocktail (an original and tasty and a great welcome to the facility). We then moved on to the tasting room to learn more about the distilling process through visuals and explanation by Duane. The room is very comfortable, stylish and tastefully decorated, one of the best we have ever seen (and we have done a fair share of distillery tours in different countries).
The distillery in itself is really a working distillery and we could see the work in progress, the barrel room (of many) was dazzling and impressive.
The tasting was very well presented and selected, 4 excellent whiskey’s combined and paired with some snacks that were really well chosen and balanced to enhance the flavours of the whiskey.
South Africa can really praise itself with such a high-quality whiskey being distilled in such a beautiful area and long-lasting history. We are very happy to have lived this experience and can warmly recommend it to anyone who would love to learn more about whiskey or taste the different whiskey.
