Forest Heritage Center Museum的点评
点评：Within the heart of the Beaver's Bend State Park you will find the Forest Heritage Centre. Opening hours are 8am to 5pm daily and entry is free. Here you find a museum with a focus on the forest management history as well as some local history described through a series of diorama style paintings created by the famed American artist, Harry Rossol, the creator of Smokey Bear, the mascot for U.S. Forest Services.
The museum includes a round circular hallway that takes you through time with much focus on the past 150 years. There is also an inner courtyard with a few late 19th-century style cabin and other buildings. All in all, the Forest Heritage Centre is well worth 30 minutes of time if you are interested in the history of forests and forest services in the States.
Note, there is also a Hotchatime Hideaway gift shop at the front of the Forest Heritage Centre for anyone looking for souvenirs for gifts for friends and family while spending time in Beaver's Bend State Park.
