点评:A little find before visiting my Godson at NEC! Love the biodiesel aspect and history of the railroad! What a surprise when we started in sunshine and had snowflakes and hail at top! The ride up was very informative and offered beautiful views (several preferred left side when picking seats but they came in threes so we did not). We did the 2 or 3pm train which was nice since 4pm couldn't due to weather (winds - they earned their highest winds ranking rights!😉). I loved the experience and love supporting places like this that still can offer real history while also open to new ideas such as biodiesel. The little tidbit of Abraham Lincoln's involvement was a tidbit our conductor provided while multitasking giving tour info and helping engineer. Wish I could remember her name because she was so good, you could tell she was knowledgeable and happy to be there. When passing on way back I found myself waving as we passed missing the positivity! 💕 overall a place I would go back and share with grandchildren. Especially during the fall scenery!! Even shared with family in surrounding areas!
