Conway Scenic Railroad的点评
点评：Our family was excited to visit the historic train station in North Conway and take a scenic train ride. The ticket prices seemed steep, but we thought it would be a fun experience for our family of five on a beautiful day.
When purchasing tickets, the clerk showed us photos of the different seating classes. We chose Comfort Class because it was described as air-conditioned and pictured with antique-style cars featuring purple velvet seats and booth-style tables.
Instead, we boarded a hot, humid train car that smelled strongly of cat urine. There were no velvet seats or tables. When the conductor checked our tickets, I asked if we were in the correct car, and he confirmed that we were.
The ride itself was equally disappointing. We expected some narration about the area’s history or points of interest, but there was none. The scenery was mostly dense forest with dead trees, and the ride lasted only about 50 minutes instead of the advertised hour. That part I was glad for as the smell of the car was making me sick.
Afterward, I politely asked the ticket clerk why the train looked nothing like the photos we’d been shown. His response was, “Sorry, I’ve been telling them they need to give us updated photos.”
$123 and 50 minutes of my life I will never get back.
