点评:If you're a Jim Henson fan or grew up with Sesame Street/the Muppets, this is a really cool place to visit. There are two different sections in the museum; a Global Gallery and the Jim Henson Gallery. The Global Gallery talks about the history of puppetry around the world, and it's really cool to see how other cultures use the art in different ways. They have several videos playing of performances and history talk.
The Jim Henson part is what really makes this museum stand out. You get a history of Jim Henson's life and how he got involved with puppetry, and then you go into his early career doing commercials and shorts, then into Sesame Street, the Muppets, and other things like Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and Fraggle Rock. Lots of cool information about how the production process of the Muppets work, and of course you get to see the actually muppet props.
The museum isn't terribly big (we spent about two hours in both galleries combined), and some may think it's a little pricey ($16.00 admission), but I'd say your money is going to a good cause if you choose to visit. Highly recommended for Jim Henson fans.
