点评:This attractive fishing village is probably one of the most popular in the East Neuk of Fife, as it’s full of character, with an alluring buzz about it. It caters admirably for visitors , with a large fee-charging car-park along the front, and an array of welcoming cafes, restaurants, gift-shops, bars, ice-cream shops, and award-winning fish and chip eateries in bustling Shore Street. There are plenty attractions in the vicinity; the Scottish Fisheries Museum, the Lifeboat Station, the Dreel Halls, the Shell House, and the star of the show is of course the vibrant 19th century harbour, thronged with an assortment of fishing boats and pleasure craft. Walk along the piers to get a good view overlooking the vivacious village, and when the tide’s out there’s a respectable small beach to explore. For a perfect ending to your visit - a fish supper “en plein air” will round it off nicely ( but don’t let the seagulls see you!)
