点评:Came in on the Sunset Limited train and arrived about 4.20am. Station was open, and we could move between platforms, but the only place to sit and wait was in the central area on west side of station - this was a fenced-off & guarded area (rather like a corral), for people with Amtrak tickets only. There were about 50 travelers in there and others waiting just outside it. But there were also a fair number of local people circulating, some who were not especially friendly-looking, and several who were very noisy/ranting. Our daughter was scared by some of them. In fairness, there were numbers of security staff around, who both look and act the part, and we didn't actually have any incidents, but it wasn't a pleasant and comfortable 90min wait for the first train down to San Diego. As others have said, it is a very nice building with many lovely architectural features - but they would be best enjoyed during daylight hours. Keep your wits about you if you have to be there early morning.
