Never Again- Attending Events at the Prudential Center & You’ll Sit in HOURS of Unnecessary Traffic.

点评：Never again! I’ve been to several performances at the Prudential Center and trying to get in and out of last night’s The New Edition, Boys to Men, and Toni Braxton concert was the worst! I live in New Jersey and arrived in Newark at 7:18 pm for the 8 pm concert. We were .3 miles or about 4 blocks from the Center when we hit gridlock. We were stuck on the same block for more than 30 min! There was a complete lack of urgency by the law enforcement and parking attendants to get ticket holders parked and into the concert. When we finally arrived at the garage where we’ve parked for other concerts (8:30 pm!) we couldn’t park there because it was ONLY for pre-pay. You would think the people directing traffic would communicate that to the drivers in the two lanes of traffic before you reached the entrance of the garage. We had to circle around the Center again only to enter the same deck from another block. We finally arrived at our concert seats at 9:20 pm! We were in traffic in Newark for 2 hours. Getting out of the deck was no better. We sat in traffic that didn’t move for an hour. The concert ended at 11:30 pm and we didn’t get home (40 min. away) until about 1:30 pm! Newark has to do better! It’s infrastructure and parking is not meant to support the almost 20,000 ticket holders of the Prudential Center. Our concert experience was ruined and I will not go back to the Prudential Center. It’s not worth the hassle and headaches. Don’t build a center your city isn’t prepared to support!
