点评：Here’s what you need to know to access the free walking path to Stonehenge:
Step 1) Set your GPS to the Stonehenge Visitors Center. Park at the visitors center.
Step 2) Pay for parking by following the instructions posted in the parking lot. The fee is currently only £4.
Step 3) Walk to the Visitors Center. Note - you will have access to everything at the visitor center, including restrooms, an exhibit, a café, and a gift shop!
Step 4) Walk behind the Visitors Center to the huts. You can take a look around the huts. Next to the huts is access to a walking path.
Step 5) Follow the signs to the walking path and walk about 1.5 miles to Stonehenge. You’ll be walking on the same road the buses travel on. However, there is a small lane marked for pedestrians.
Step 6) You will arrive at the bus drop off location. Once you get there, ask staff for the free public walking path. They will point you in the direction of this path, which is just on the other side of the fence from the paid access.
Step 7) Enjoy your free view of Stonehenge and the fact that you saved £35 each!Please note that this path does not go all the way around the stones like the paid path does.
Step 8) Return by walking the same way you came.
We had an enjoyable walk and loved our day exploring the Stonehenge area!
