点评:After a local shopping trip, my sister and I opted to visit Lake Okanagan to do our daily walk. We parked our car near the Sicamous and walked along the lake shore out to the point to enjoy the scenic views. Next, we decided to see the latest construction in the area, a device to help the salmon and other fish during their spawning. From there, we walked across the bridge and were fascinated by a large group of water fowl that included coots, Canadian geese, green-headed mallards, gulls, and hooded mergansers. We continued following this trail along the tree line to the shore where we encountered another group of these birds. From this vantage point, we viewed several old watercraft on the opposite side including the Sicamous and the Naramata. Then, we retraced our route and returned to cross the bridge once more where we stopped to watch the rough waters make its way towards the Channel. Next, our walk continued through the Rose Gardens where fall had definitely touched the foliage as it began its annual colour change. We noted there were fewer people as most tourists had returned to their homes. We walked to our car and headed to a local restaurant for an early dinner.
