点评：We turned up without a reservation and were placed on a 40 minute ¥1200 tour within minutes. All tours are conducted in Japanese and the organisers are very clear about this. We had a numbered guide book (In English) and simply had to turn the page when instructed. The guide was enthusiastic and clear and took care to ensure non-Japanese folk were keeping up. His English was definitely better than my Japanese.we loved seeing all the hidden areas and reading the explanations. Payment for the tours can be by card, cash etc. but if you wish to purchase souvenirs, it is cash only.
40 (actually 50 in our case) minutes went very quickly and we’d have loved to have a little more time to look following the explanation.
The tour did involve sitting on the floor and some steep steps. Speak up if you have mobility problems - they provided a chair for someone in our group.
