烹饪魔术的点评
点评：As a frequent visitor to Singapore and an obsessive lover of food, any opportunity to spend an afternoon with Ruqxana is one I will relish.
Over the years she has imparted to me, my friends and family her brilliant and seemingly effortless approach to the many varied cuisines of the Straits. All the while welcoming us into her home with the kindness and warmth of a longtime friend.
Ruqxana is a gifted teacher able to reach any student beginner to expert, resistant to eager—she is always ready to answer questions with a thoughtful response—especially when discussing exotic ingredients and substitution etc.
There are many wonderful things I could say about Ruqxana and her classes—aside from teaching me truly authentic recipes and techniques she’s given me a much more personal window into the cultures and people behind the foods that make Singapore the place it is—and for that I am incredibly grateful.
Whether she’s teaching me to navigate the busy wet market in Geylang Serai, bonding with me over our love of cats or reminding me how truly powerful and awesome women are while cooking killer food—she is simply being herself.
For me Singapore isn’t Singapore without Cookery Magic and Ruqxana. She is not to be missed.
