Screech Owl Sanctuary & Animal Park的点评
点评：We have just come back from a children's birthday party at Screech and we all had a really amazing time. The kids had a "Meet the Foxes" experience as part of the party and got to feed the foxes from their hands. Such a special experience.
The flying displays were exceptional, and the chap doing the talk was so knowledgeable and professional. He spoke for 45 minutes and was really clear, engaging and interesting for kids (aged 5+) and parents alike, with plenty of anecdotes about the birds' antics at the sanctuary, all while constantly guiding the birds to fly over the audience's heads or to land next to them. The birds seem really chilled and happy to fly and land on people's arms. Everyone who wanted to got a chance to have the bird land on their arm, no one was left out. (Though it was quite quiet when we went so this might not be possible when it's really busy.) The keepers have clearly put a lot of time into training the birds to trust them.
There is plenty to do and see for a whole day out with the kids. We were there from 10.30am till 4, and could have stayed longer - no one said they were bored. There is a good playground which kept the children running around for ages. The bird enclosures all look really clean and the grounds are neat and tidy. Perfect for nature lovers, and you know your entry fee is going to a good cause, too.
