Lunuganga Garden Tour的点评
点评：A Hidden Gem Near Bentota – Well Worth a Visit
The four of us visited Lunuganga Gardens today, and it was surprisingly good. The gardens themselves are beautiful, but what really made the experience was the guided tour.
Our guide, Dilan, was both entertaining and incredibly knowledgeable. He has worked at Lunuganga for 14 years, so he shared fascinating stories and insights about the estate, its architect, the buildings, ponds, paddy fields, and the wide variety of trees and plants. His enthusiasm really brought the place to life.
The gardens are only around a 20-minute tuk tuk ride from Bentota, making it an easy day trip. We hired a tuk tuk for the day, which worked out really well. The gardens open at 11am, and the guided tour is definitely the best way to experience them.
Entry was around $20 per person, which we felt was worthwhile given the quality of the tour and the unique setting.
There’s also a small café on site serving food and drinks. I highly recommend trying the king coconut – it was delicious and cost LKR 900. There’s also a small gift shop if you’d like to take home a souvenir.
If you’re staying in the Bentota area and are looking for something a little different, I’d definitely recommend visiting Lunuganga Gardens. It’s peaceful, interesting, and made even more memorable thanks to Dilan’s excellent tour.
