An Absolute Must Do at The Sanctuary

点评：What I would give to be back in that spa right now.... We are unabashedly enthusiastic spa-goers and consider ourselves pretty picky when it comes to spa services. This experience did not disappoint - so, so good and a must-do for any stay at The Sanctuary. My son got a massage and I got a facial (we would have all received multiple services, but that was all that was available when we booked our hotel stay 10 days earlier). Both of us would give our services five-stars. My esthetician Jo was some kind of Zen goddess, because I left that room with my face looking & feeling great and a total inner sense of deep, deep relaxation. I can't actually tell you what she did, because after she tucked me in, rang a small chime and wafted something that smelled delicious, I immediately fell asleep (something I never do). The relaxation rooms are comfortable and quiet, with the usual lounge chaises, blankets, magazines, tea, fruit - but they also offer these citrusy granola cake things that were soft & sweet (and worth the calories - have a few). The locker rooms are normal upscale locker rooms, though they do offer a whole array of high-end moisturizers. I was the only one in the locker room while I was there. I was also the only one in the steam room, sauna or mineral mini-pool. My son reports he was the only one in the men's version too, so after his massage, he did the circuit several times and emerged happy and look healthy. Note they do automatically add a generous tip to all treatments, but I'd be shocked if you didn't think they earned it. Writing this, I'm contemplating if I could justify taking off work and just drive the 9 nine hours down there again....
