Sarande Albania is not what you are told it's a wonderful mix

点评：We arrived after Durres and Tirana.
The buildings are many times square blocks, inside in general are very well maintained with nice fixtures and furniture and if in the first 4 streets, an amazing view. Somr ate absolutely beautiful inside, with big decks or terraces and balconies.
You can look straight down into the water and see the fish eating planktan, right off the promenade!
There are really good restaurants, grrat locals, little shops tucked out oc the way, and locally grown food.
There are boats to Corfu... The people are very friendly and helpful overall. The seafood is very fresh.
Sunsets are out of this world.
There is a lot of building in progress, some obviously halted, some in the works. It is juxtaposed with older buildings and communist era buildings, with new pavement roads and old cobbled lanes intersecting. Garbage can be an issue when tourists swell the population over double, so pick up after yourself, off season i have not seen it dirty. At night it looks like a fairy tale, and as a single female, I walk around safely with normal precautions like svoidung alleyways.
Be a little patient with the process...Roads from Tirana can be bumpy and with construction, from Durres to Sarande are overall excellent, but beware, very few stoplights, at times twisty, and they drive well here overall but very different here than North America.
The entire country is working on infrastructure.
Tourist season seems insane, so many people packed in, impatient and often rude to locals, and each other. Expecting the Riveria on a beer budget, some are extremely critical. Pay the average rates, you get more than you expect. It is evolving and doing so fairly well.... But Looking for 4 star paying for 1 star, you will not get what you expect.
I'll be back more than once. The people are charming, the country is wonderful and evolving, the water is amazing.

请耐心等待……从地拉那到萨兰达的道路可能会比较颠簸，而且经常有施工；从都拉斯到萨兰达的路况总体来说非常好，但要注意，这里的红绿灯很少，道路有时弯曲，虽然当地人总体上驾驶技术不错，但和北美的驾驶习惯截然不同。
整个国家都在进行基础设施建设。
旅游旺季简直疯狂，人山人海，游客们缺乏耐心，经常对当地人和彼此粗鲁无礼。有些人想用啤酒的预算体验里维埃拉，结果却非常挑剔。支付平均价格，你会得到超出预期的体验。这里正在发展，而且发展得相当不错……但如果你想花一星级的价钱去体验四星级，那肯定不会如你所愿。
我会不止一次地回来。这里的人们热情友好，国家美丽而不断发展，水质令人惊叹。
