More than made up for the disappointment of my previous visit.
Rudyard Lake Steam Railway的点评
点评：3 years on from my previous and somewhat disastrous visit, I decided to try again for a day at this miniature railway, having learned that it had changed ownership in the meantime, and I am so glad that I returned.
From the moment I arrived until the moment I left I had a thoroughly good time. As an avid steam locomotive (of all sizes and gauges) enthusiast, I visit many such attractions and this really was an enjoyable day. Despite its "Miniature Railway" status, the covered carriages are provided with comfortable seating and there is room for two people to sit side by side. The journey is a pleasant one alongside a footpath / cycle path through woodland and, from the intermediate station, along the shore of Rudyard Lake to a terminus at a lakeside car parking area.
All of the staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful and I was so busy enjoying my time riding and photographing the trains that I didn't even manage to get into their café before it closed. Obviously, I will need to return to this delightful little line, not just for the trains, but to sample their tea !!
I am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you very much and see you soon !
