点评:My sons visited Cathedral Cove in 2019 and their photos really resonated with me so it was something I really wanted to see. We visited Cathedral Cove twice. Once along this walk and once from a boat tour (though only from the sea - a different perspective). The walk did give you a better chance to view and walk around the cove.
There is no parking at the start of the walk. We parked at Cathedral Cove Gateway Trail Park (free) and took the shuttle bus ($16.00 NZ return via Haihei - you can pay on the bus) to the start of the walk which is then 1 hr 30 mins (2.5 km) return. It is worth it, though I'm not fond of hills, because the views are great. The beach, cavern and the standing rock make magnificent photos.
There is a café midway with toilets. I will admit I was so tempted to take the water taxi back but not at $40 one way and, as usual, the walk back always feels easier than the walk there. If, however, you have mobility issues this would be the way to reach Cathedral Cove that I would recommend. The other cruise boats cannot stop here and I really liked our time to walk on the beach.
