点评：We did have a fabulous visit to Costa Rica! Thanks for helping to plan it. We all agree we enjoyed Hacienda Guachepelin It seemed very authentic. I personally loved the river tubing though my daughter who fell out of her tube did not think it was as much fun. The volcanic mud and hot pool experience was unique and rejuvenating. Our drivers from Jacamar were funny and informative. Highly recommend Especially JP.
While the RIU resort was beautiful , there were some things we did not like. The food was subpar. There were lots of options but the only reliably tasty thing was the fruit. The steak house was not bad but the main buffet was disappointing. I knew we would be trading convenience of all inclusive for a bit of a downgrade in the dining experience but probably will not stay at RIU again. The other complaint we had was the sewage smell that seemed prevalent in our room toilet as well as all the public toilet areas. Perhaps they use a septic system? The all inclusive drinks almost made up for the negatives though. We rented jet skis for a tour of caves with scuba caribe that we all enjoyed. We also liked our massages after the jet ski tour. Our favorite day was our last day. Sunset snorkel tour with Marlin del Rey was absolutely amazing. Saw some pretty fish and a manta ray. Bartender Luis introduced us to Chile water and Cacique with pineapple and lime. I am sad I cannot find Cacique at our local liquor store. We had a delicious barbecued chicken and pico meal, Met some fun people on board and saw a beautiful Pacific sunset! Lots of great memories. We look forward to a return trip.
