点评：Our third trip to Tanzania with Duma Explorer was a 10 day safari in January to the southern Parks which we had not visited before. We started in Nyerere (Selous), then to Mikumi and finally Ruaha on a tailored itinerary from Stacy at Duma. We were fortunate in having two guides - Isack whom we knew from previous visits and Omary. Both were excellent, showing great care for our well-being, perseverance in finding wildlife and with incredible spotting skills. One of the reasons for our visit was to see hunting dogs (which we had seen in Botswana) and, although we just missed them (they were seen the day we left Nyerere and avoided us in Ruaha) we could not have had a more thorough look for them. Mammalian wildlife was somewhat sparser than the Northern circuit but we are fortunate in loving birds which were seen in abundance. Our accommodation was excellent throughout. It included Lemara Eco Lodge near Selous where our Masai host gave us a fascinating insight into Masai culture and Ruaha Hilltop lodge with its friendly, caring staff and its wonderful views over the valley in the evening.
