Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum的点评
点评：First visit to this museum, but we've heard great things from other people who have visited. Lots of different military planes and some space program artifacts. We went because of the unofficial Star Wars exhibit, but it was just ok. It was nice that someone loaned their private collection for the exhibit.
Getting to see some of the "big" planes up that close was really cool. There are a few exhibits you can get in.
We learned more about early space exploration that we didn't learn at Kennedy Space Center. Would've been nice if the museum had done something special around the Artemis II mission because they returned to Earth the day we visited. It looked like they are in the process of renovating the space exploration section, but we got to see a lot of it.
Admission fee is very reasonable. There's an extra fee if you want to do a planetarium show, which we didn't do. There's also a fast-serve restaurant and some vending.
The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
There were lots of guests with small children, and there were some activities for them, but most of them looked at a plane and ran on.
We spent 2 hours there, and we read a lot of the placards, but you could easily spend three hours there if you wanted to see everything and do a planetarium show. If you're in the Omaha/Lincoln area, definitely worth the visit.
