点评：Very interesting FLW Prairie Style home built in 1908 with Japanese influences. Tour was very informative, and I learned about Springfield, Ohio in its heyday. The film before the tour provided a good introduction Our docent, Dave, brought extensive knowledge and personal insights from visiting numerous Frank Lloyd Wright homes across the country. The visuals, including photographs, floor plans, pictures of the owners, and other historical details, were very helpful in telling the home's story.
There are stairs to climb to the 2nd floor and entrance hall, and standing during the tour. The tour was $22.
The gift shop is nice. The foundation has purchased the large home next door and plans to eventually use for the visitors center, gift shop and offices. The current gift shop will be converted back to the original garage.
Recommend downtown locally-owned restaurants Scout's Cafe for coffee and Charlo's for lunch or dinner. Both are not too far of a drive from Westcott House. Also recommend, Hartman Rock Garden, a whimsical folk art hidden gem located in Springfield.
