点评:We called in the Visitors Centre on our return from the viaduct, not from choice, but due to the traffic being directed to the viaduct car park, so we missed it on the way in. Maybe a better sign for those who do not know the area.
This is a great little visitors centre with a small gift shop and café, managed by National Trust for Scotland. The staff are very friendly and helpful and eager to expand on the exhibition if asked. Although we had missed the last tour to the iconic monument honouring the fallen Jacobite clansmen. The displays and an audio programme about the Prince's campaign from Glenfinnan to Derby and back to the final defeat at Culloden made up for the disappointment. The modern exhibition in the visitor centre tells the story of Prince Charles Edward Stuart and the 1745 Jacobite Rising. It has lots of detailed information not only of the Jacobite Rebellion, but the history of the area.
