点评:I've never been able to ride a zipline before due to height and/or weight restrictions, but this place fit my body type so I was excited. My wife and one son had done quite a few zip lines before (including the longest in the Smoky Mountains and the one over the Niagara Falls), but my other son and I were rookies. We did the Low Rider Zip Line Tour. It was good for what it was, but was not a traditional zip line. I had envisioned you getting harnessed up, somebody helps you go, and somebody is there to greet you at the end flying hundreds of feet of length - like every other place I'd seen my wife and son do (altitude here is very low and good for anybody who doesn't want to be high up). Not this place. This is more like 100 foot zips between small platforms within 20 feet of the ground, with nobody available to guide you while you're in process. The people working there are GREAT and give you a good training introduction before you go, but you're pretty much on your own from there. You can holler for a guide to help if needed, which we did at one point, but don't expect anybody there from platform to platform. Also, the platforms are a lot smaller than I had seen in the past, so don't make the mistake I made of wearing icky sneakers with no tread on the bottom. I came in hot to every platform and had a difficult time "gripping" the platform due to me wearing shoes that I thought would be great for being in the woods. Have good shoes with good grip! The other thing to note is that they tell you there are 9 "walking bridges" as part of the tour. What they don't tell you is that those "walking bridges" are really "wobbly ropes course bridges" - not something a guy with old destroyed ankles and knees from years of sports was expecting so this became work rather than fun. Overall, I found the experience to be more like "OK...harness in... make sure the person in front of you has completely cleared the platform before you go...then you go and spend the next 5 seconds planning your arrival at the next platform rather than enjoying the flight itself...do a wobbly rope bridge...wash, rinse, repeat." It was a lot of work and as my experienced family members said, not your traditional zip line. I rate it as very good from the perspective of the people and the fact that they can take larger mammals like myself, and I definitely felt safe, even though I was on my own for the most part. But, they also helped my inexperienced son off the course when he said enough was enough. We were both slamming hard into some of the minimally padded trees at the end and he just had enough (I bounced off and went backwards for a few so I do recommend gloves if you've never done this before...I pinched my hands quite a few times trying to return myself to the platform - oh, if you care, they don't give you helmets like other places we've been - I didn't care). I gutted it out and finished up since I knew we only had two more lines to go at that point. As long as you go into it knowing what you're getting into, I do recommend it. But, if you're with a group of pure novices or total experts in zip lining, I'm not sure this is for you.
