Helmsley Walled Garden的点评
点评：Lovely walled garden with wide variety of plants. Part of the space is used as a bountiful community garden. Small gift shop and delightful café on-site. Could easily spend a half day enjoying it all.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The history of the garden and the rejuvenation is quite interesting. The small garden guide is worth the purchase in addition to the modest entry fee.
It was a cold and windy day when we visited in October, but there was plenty to see and enjoy. The design of the garden, both plants and sculptures was very pleasing. The greenhouses held interesting displays and one was being used for a fall branch weaving class. We finished our visit with a hearty bowl of hot soup and bread.
Would love to return in a different season and to take a class and explore the area and village.
