点评:I appreciate that this former hotel has been saved from the wrecking ball by Tampa University, but there isn’t so much of the former hotel to look at on the inside. The “museum” occupies one small wing of the lower level. The rest of this massive hotel has been turned into classrooms and staff offices for the University. The $12 admission is about $7 too high. There is about a 10-minute movie to watch about Henry Plant and the history of the hotel. But the film was made in about the late 1970s-early 1980s and in all honesty was poor quality and dated. Aren’t there some film majors at the University who could shoot an updated movie? The most interesting exhibit was one room where they recreated what a suite would have looked like. The other rooms contained a gift shop and displays of artifacts from the hotel and people who have visited/stayed at the hotel. You can scan a code and get a self-guided tour on your phone. There is very limited, parallel parking in front (don’t count on that). Your better bet is the Thomas parking garage about ¼ mile walk away.
