点评：I've been to the Grand Canyon South Rim dozens of times over the years and it never disappoints. My wife and I's first day was just east of the Village and around the large parking lots/Visitor Center. The crowds were very large, as expected. The views here by the South Kaibab trail area were perfect. The second day, we drove into Grand Canyon Village and were shocked ! We were the only car on the road there. Open parking spaces everywhere, because all the lodges and hotels were closed because of the water shortage. As I hit the rim trail by Lookout Studio, at 9 a.m., only myself and a ranger were in sight, looking either direction. I have never seen this area so uncrowded. The "ghost town" feeling had to sink in. About 30 minutes later, a lot of hikers headed for the Bright Angel trail did show up, but I lived my short dream of being the only visitor on the rim for half an hour or so! Even then, there were no crowds, just a few visitors here and there. Note that the Village offers views looking down the Bright Angel Trail.
