Colorado bins State Park is a great treasure. The park includes hiking through Springfield, creeks and pools that you can swim in. Also hiking to a gorgeous waterfall. Fishing in the Colorado river. With the opportunity to be there when the white Bass (fish) are running in the spring.
The area is known for is karst topography. There are also some hidden caves that can be accessed through tours booked on the state Park website. This past weekend I took my 12-year-old nephew on the introductory Cave tour. He had an absolute blast. Our guide Heather was very knowledgeable willing to answer any questions and allowed those interested to explore on their hands and knees and bellies and crawl under and around some of the formations it was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend the cave tours.
After the tour, we stopped by the Park store and headquarters. The staff were very helpful and kind. We picked up hiking maps and other information and they shared that the white bass were just starting to be caught.
